13th Annual Remembrance Day Ceremony

On September 21, 2015, the California Memorial Project will hold our 13th Annual Remembrance Day Ceremony. This year 9 sites will participate in events to honor individuals who lived and died at California State Institutions. Remembrance Day is celebrated each year to pay respect to the over 45,000 individuals who were buried, many without recognition, after passing away at a Developmental Center or State Hospital in California. This year is special as we will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Sites participating in the Event include:

Agnews Historic CemeteryGray monument with man kneeling engraved and flowers on each end
Napa State Hospital
Metropolitan State Hospital
Parkview Cemetery, Manteca
Patton State Hospital
Porterville Developmental Center
Sonoma Developmental Center
Stockton Rural Cemetery
Ukiah Valley Cemetery
